The hotel rooms were a mixed bag. On one hand, they were neat and clean which was a plus, but on the other hand, they looked like they were poorly renovated and the overwhelming smell of perfume on the bed was off-putting. The dated appearance and signs of damage like holes in the walls gave a vandalized vibe.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were a mix of cleanliness and disrepair. Neat and clean yet poorly renovated, with a strong perfume odor. They appeared old, dirty, and almost vandalized with holes in the walls.
Service
6.0
The staff at the hotel was pretty friendly which was a nice touch. However, there was a need for better care of the property and addressing customer complaints promptly.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was a bit challenging. While it was convenient except for ongoing roadwork, the tight parking spaces due to inconsiderate parking by guests made it difficult to maneuver. Being under the main flight path of Monterey airport was also a downside.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience left much to be desired at this hotel. The breakfast was not very appetizing and the area felt cramped. There were limited options, and items ran out early in the morning before many guests could enjoy them.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had basic facilities with nothing exceptional to note. There was no standout feature or amenity that added to the overall experience.

5.0/10
My stay at this hotel was a complete letdown. The room was so dirty that nothing seemed wiped down, the bathroom had old towels on the floor in the corner, and the shower door was broken. The only relief was that I didn't encounter any roaches, but for $160 a night, it was definitely not worth it. I will never come back here. The breakfast, if you can even call it that, was a horrible experience. Stay away from this hotel.

Service

The service was rude and nasty. It seemed like the staff was unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Location
5.0
The location was filthy, and while it was perfect for visiting the area, it wasn't very close to the main tourist attractions compared to some other motels. Not the best for a stay focused on Monterey.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not very appetizing and the offerings were cramped. The slices of white bread, damp danishes, and burnt coffee did not meet expectations.
Facilities

The facilities had cracks in the walls and ceiling, looked very old and used. The only positive aspect was free parking.

The hotel was a major disappointment. The room had broken tiles and small details like a missing lamp shade that just made everything feel neglected. The bathroom was dirty, with old towels strewn about and a broken shower door. At $160 a night, this was not worth it at all. The breakfast was atrocious, and I will never return.
